Oklo is advancing plans to develop a scalable clean energy campus in Pike County, Ohio, with capacity of up to 1.2 gigawatts (GW). Together with our partners, we are working to bring reliable, carbon-free power to one of the country’s fastest-growing demand centers.

- Establish a long-term hub for advanced energy development in southern Ohio

Oklo’s agreement with Meta provides a mechanism for prepayment for power and early-stage funding to advance project certainty for Aurora powerhouse deployments. The approach enables large energy users to help fund new generation, accelerate development, and add reliable, clean, affordable power to the grid.
Why Ohio? A major power market at the center of growing data center demand.
Ohio’s location within the PJM Interconnection, one of the country’s largest regional electricity markets, is experiencing significant demand growth from data centers, advanced manufacturing, and other industries. The state’s skilled energy workforce, strong nuclear heritage, and access to major transmission infrastructure position it to play an important role in meeting that demand.
Oklo is working with PJM and AEP, the utility that services Pike County, on an updated interconnection scheme to provide greater flexibility as the company advances site diligence, infrastructure planning, permitting preparation, and community engagement.
